ABOUT THE ADVENTURE

A Big City Thanksgiving Adventure

‘Tis the season for pumpkins, hayrides … and a big city adventure! It’s Thanksgiving week, and Rooster and Squid are headed out of town to visit Aunt Tea and Uncle Scotch. Between dog crates, cat carriers, airplanes, and chaotic city streets, what could possibly go wrong?

In Runway Runaways, the seventh book in the Rooster and Squid series, our furry duo finds themselves lost during a family vacation! From dodging taxis and navigating noisy crosswalks to encountering wild city critters and escaping one of Uncle Scotch’s crazy inventions, Rooster and Squid must rely on their wits—and each other—to make it back home.

Along the way, they learn valuable lessons about pet travel safety, animal shelters, health certificates, blistered paw pads, tracking devices, and what to do if a pet goes missing.

Full of laugh-out-loud moments, new friendships, and a few close calls (including a daring dumpster dive), Runway Runaways is a tail-wagging tale of gratitude, grit, and the importance of sticking together.
