ABOUT THE ADVENTURE

A Camping Trip Takes an Unexpected Turn

Lost and Found is the third book in the Rooster and Squid series, and things are really heating up. It is the hottest part of the summer, and the family heads to the mountains for a much-needed camping vacation. Rooster, who loves the outdoors, and Squid, who despises anything without air conditioning, are along for the ride.

The camping trip offers fun and adventure until the unthinkable happens … Jes is lost. Rooster and Squid must brave the elements with the help of the park ranger and his laid-back Saint Bernard to save the day.

Rooster and Squid pass along important tips about motion sickness, cataracts, feeding table food, skunks, porcupines, and recommendations for camping with your pets.

  1. Jerry Allen –

Such a fun series for kids! If you have not tried out this series yet – jump on it. Fun adventures and even fun tips and tidbits at the end (that my son wont stop sharing with everyone!) And… that is saying something for a kid who usually hates reading and hates even more sharing about what he is reading. 5 stars for anything that gets him excited! (Originally posted on Amazon.)

  2. A Hernandez –

Love these wholesome, age appropriate chapter books for elementary students! I picked up my first Rooster and Squid book for my 6 year old son at a conference where I met the author. He loved it so much I ordered 3 more on Amazon the following week … I had been interested in (and having difficulty) finding chapter books that weren’t graphic novels and also had characters that exhibited good, kind behaviors and the morals we try to instill in our son. … Can’t say enough about these books. (Originally posted on Amazon.)

  3. Julian G. Mason –

Favorite bedtime reading. The Rooster and Squid books are our new favorite bedtime reads. The characters are funny and we love their little adventures. The tips about animals from Rooster and Squid at the end of each book are always interesting to learn. (Originally posted on Amazon.)
